EAGLE — The Bowlmor Cafe and Lounge, located in The Back Bowl in Eagle, will host comedian Steve Gastineau as Comedy Night at the Bowlmor returns Saturday at 8 p.m. for the final show of the winter season.

This is Gastineau’s first appearance at The Back Bowl in nearly five years but will be the fourth appearance for this huge Denver-based talent. The break in Comedy Night action is no oversight, according to The Back Bowl owner and general manger Joe Gonzalez.

“We’ve been trying to get Steve back here ever since his last sell-out appearance,” Gonzalez said. “His career really ramped after that, with him opening all over the country for some pretty huge names. We were extremely fortunate to snag him between trips.”

‘FUNNIEST COMEDIANS IN DENVER’

Gastineau was voted one of the “Funniest Comedians in Denver” by NBC’s “9 News,” and he may well have hit the big time after being the opening act for a string of high-profile, renowned comedians such as Ellen DeGeneres, David Spade, Paula Poundstone, Louie Anderson and Jimmy Fallon.

Gastineau delivers sharp social commentary and shares his unique observations of daily life in a high-energy style that has made him a favorite at clubs and colleges across the country. His appeal reaches across all ages and backgrounds as no subject is left unscathed.

OPENING ACT

Opening for Gastineau will be Eric Henderson. Henderson, currently based in Denver, brings a dynamic and unique style of observational humor and storytelling. He has appeared at Second City comedy club in Chicago, as well as regular gigs at the Comedy Works in Denver and other clubs around the country. He also writes and produces a live podcast called 3 Course Comedy.

The show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and ends when the laughter stops.

‘HELLUVA WINTER FOR COMEDY’

“It’s been a helluva winter for live comedy,” Gonzalez said. “It’s been pretty evident that there’s a place for this caliber of entertainment. Every show this season has been a sellout. We’re looking forward to a whole new lineup for the summer.”

Tickets for Comedy Night at the Bowlmor are $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the show. Tickets can be purchased in-person at The Back Bowl or by calling 970-328-2695.
