High school students ring the bell
EAGLE COUNTY ” If you went to Wal-Mart in Avon, City Market in Eagle or Columbine Market in Gypsum last Saturday, you more than likely saw a familiar teen ringing the bell for the Salvation Army.
Eagle Valley High School students decided to give back to the community that has helped benefit their school time and time again.
Teacher Susan Scott began the community service program at the high school. A total of 40 students are currently involved in the program.
“The more you give, the more you get back,” Scott has told to her students.
In the near future, letters will go out from students to the community asking if they are in need of any special project ” to be performed by students.
“The entire focus of this program is to give back to the community,” Scott says.
