Highway 131 closed on Monday at Bond
EAGLE COUNTY — Crews from the Union Pacific Railroad will be replacing rail through the crossing on State Highway 131 at mile point 16.25 through Bond on Monday. The only day of a full closure will be Monday. Preliminary work begins Sunday, with flaggers ushering motorists through the work zone. Flaggers will be in place again on Tuesday.
Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day but the railroad will reopen the highway earlier Monday if the work is completed. On Sunday and Tuesday, motorists should expect 5- to 10-minute delays during flagging operations. Alternate routes around the closure from the northeast are State Highway 9, State Highway 134 and U.S. Highway 40. An alternate route from the northwest is State Highway 13.
