Hike, Wine and Dine is Sunday in Beaver Creek

VAIL, Colorado – Hikers participating in this year’s Hike, Wine and Dine will refuel on their Sunday four-mile hike with some of the area’s best gourmet cuisine. The hike will take place on Beaver Creek Mountain and feature food from the Osprey, Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa, Dusty Boot, Rimini, Grouse Mountain Grill, Beaver Creek Chophouse and Splendido at various stations along the trail. The tax deductible registration cost is $100 per person by Friday and $125 the day of the event. Participants will get food, wine and a commemorative gift. Children under 12 are free and children ages 12-18 are $50. All proceeds go to Jack’s Place and Shaw Regional Cancer Center. “Since opening in March 2007, Jack’s Place has provided more than 4,000 nights of respite for patients of the Shaw Regional Cancer Center and their caregivers,” said Brandon Mays, manager of Jack’s Place. “There is no financial obligation for patients staying at Jack’s Place; we rely on donations and the Hike, Wine & Dine event to help offset our operating costs.”The registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Coffee, mimosas and light breakfast will be served at the base of Beaver Creek’s Centennial Lift and the hike begins at 10 a.m. Pre-register by calling 970-477-5177 or vvmcdevelopment@vvmc.com.
