Special to the DailyA High-Altitude Army Aviation Training Site helicopter took a team from Vail Mountain Rescue Group to Angelica Couloir at 7:30 a.m. Saturday to rescue two lost hikers. The hikers made the rescue call on Friday but were able to camp overnight. The teams made contact with the hikers at 10 a.m. None of the hikers was injured. A nine-person team from Vail Mountain Rescue, three people from HAATS, two from Eagle County Ambulance District and the Eagle County Sheriff's Office assisted in the rescue. ALL |
