Hip-opening yoga class set for Sunday in Vail
VAIL — Do you have tight hips, pain or weakness? Do you want to combat these uncomfortable messages your body is sending and increase your sports performance? Then the Aria Yoga program has a workshop series designed for you.
Join us for a Love Your Hips yoga workshop taking place Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Most of us experience tightness in the hips from sitting or standing for long periods of time at work, and from regular or high levels of exertion in our recreational activities. Our hips bear the brunt of this and in turn become tense and tight. We also tend to inadvertently hold mental and emotional stress in the hips, which increases the stiffness. In this rejuvenating workshop series, explore the hip joint in various poses and discover how a mindful approach can enhance and deepen your physical yoga practice, and your understanding of the hip joint. Opening and strengthening the hips can also act as a cross training tool to enhance any sport. Each Love Your Hips offering will create shifts in the subtle energetic body as well, leaving you feeling relaxed, connected and renewed. Everyone is welcome, whether you practice yoga or not.
The class will take place at the Aria Yoga Studio in the Cascade Resort, located at 1300 Westhaven Drive in Vail. Join Karen Anderson to learn yoga postures that will support strengthening and balancing your hips. All community members are welcome. The cost is $25 per class for non-members or $20 for members.
