Hitler poster causes stir at Colo. high school

Vail, CO Colorado

KEENESBURG, Colo. – The superintendent of a Colorado high school says a teacher who taped a cartoon poster of Adolf Hitler on her classroom door made a bad judgment call but was not being malicious or racist.

The poster that hung at Keenesburg’s Weld County Central High School’s social studies class read: “Ve hof vays of making you learn.” KMGH-TV says the poster was taken down this week after a student complained.

The student who complained told the television station he was offended by the poster because he is of Jewish descent.

Superintendent Susie Townsend says district officials are investigating but don’t believe the teacher meant to be insensitive.
