VAIL VALLEY, Colorado –Proceeds from this year’s ninth annual East West Hoedown fundraiser will benefit the Vail-based nonprofit First Descents as well as HERO scholarships at the Vail-Eagle Valley Campus of Colorado Mountain College.

The Western-themed party kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday, at the Eagle River Center at the Eagle County Fairgrounds. The event raises funds for different worthy organizations each year.
