Hot, dry weather forecast across Colorado
DENVER – Hot and dry weather is forecast across Colorado.
A low pressure system is also expected to bring strong winds to western Colorado on Thursday, raising the threat of wildfires there because vegetation is so dry. The National Weather Service says gusty winds up to 35 mph are possible later in the day.
Highs in the 80s and 90s are forecast in much of the state and parts of southeastern Colorado are expected to hit the 100 degree mark.
Flooding is still a possibility in parts of northern and central Colorado as mountain snowpack continues to melt quickly.
A cool down and rain is expected Friday.
