EAGLE COUNTY – “House to Home,” a new magazine about the county’s building and remodeling industry, is expected to hit the streets this spring.”There is such activity and excitement surrounding the building and remodeling industry here in Eagle County,” said Kate Carey, publisher. “House to Home is highly targeted with localized content and mountain style for people who are planning, building or remodeling their homes.”The magazine will be targeted to home and land owners, people who have recently received a building permit and other construction professionals.”The fact that 80 percent of buying decisions are made by women is central to the style and content of the magazine,” said Carey, who added that pertinent, timely and lifestyle-oriented stories will be written by local writers.

“‘House to Home’ is reader-friendly for the residential consumer making buying decisions, and also useful with its business-to-business marketing angle,” Carey said. “It is an indispensable reference for developers, contractors and subcontractors in delivering their marketing message, and for having a presence and positioning among others in the industry.”Stories and regular columns will cover topics related to planning, building and finishing a home, editor Andy Stonehouse said. “We cover everything from appliances to xeriscaping, with artful features on local families and how they’ve integrated their lifestyle into the design and construction of their homes, to the more nuts-and-bolts information people need to navigate the design and review process,” Stonehouse said. Advertising for the magazine will be headed by sale veterans Gabrie Higbie and Scott Marino. The design of the magazine was created by Elaine Waddell of Waddell Design.”House to Home” is being published by Colorado Resort Publishing, a division of Colorado Mountain News Media, which is the parent company of this newspaper.
