Special to the DailyWildfox tees are cutting edge while still keeping soft, feminine playfulness.

With the 2011 summer trends being rather eccentric and specific, we’ve reached that point where we say enough is enough! No more! Too hot, too tired, too everything! I’m throwing in the towel and wearing a T-shirt.

In fashion, when we say T-shirt, it translates to the “but-it’s-so-comfortable” garment with the coffee stain on the bottom corner. Add in the word “graphic” and we immediately think of the thousands of band tee’s that are so-called “vintage.” However, that’s all changed thanks to dynamic duo Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon. Together they head up Wildfox Couture, the most original, chic and fabulous graphic T-shirt company that you’ve ever seen.

A few years back, fashion was getting far too serious. Every runway show was based around black, and its friends, “charcoal,” “slate” and “midnight.” It was time to bring the fun and the sassy back into fashion. Not to mention a much needed alternative to the boring plain, white tee. Inspired by all things sweet, like their friendship, magical fairies, true love and cupcakes, Wildfox Couture was born. With vibrant, bright colors, unique, soft fabric, bold prints and a whole lot of tongue-in-chic graphics, Wildfox has soared right out of a little design studio in Silverlake, Calif. right into the hands of today’s hottest celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Alessandra Ambrosio. Its also developed a kind of cult-type following among young girls. Hit Coachella, California’s biggest music festival, and you’ll see Wildfox originals on all the girls waiting in line for pizza with a cigarette tucked behind the ear.

Wildfox started as a T-shirt only brand, but due to immense success and constant demand, the line has progressed into dresses, tanks, leggings, denim, and now sweatshirts, with a high-end label and a Kids label both in the works.

In typical teenage fashion, every Wildfox campaign has a story. In the Wildfox Couture Fall 2010 Lookbook, there are three girls that all have “very special talents” and are “sick of school and being ignored by boys,” so they come together to practice witch-craft. The pictures are beautiful and captivating, and the clothes are simply drool worthy.

The brilliance behind this brand is that there is literally zero styling required. The pieces speak for themselves with no need to add much else. For instant comfort with so much style it may require an oxygen mask, grab one of their tees and pair with denim cutoff shorts, your favorite jeans or even leggings. I heard your gasp from here! Never in fashion has anything been so simple!

All in all, Wildfox is what everyone’s talking about, so whether you go with the “My Boyfriends A Werewolf” Tee, or the “Big Heart” Tee, you’ll be the embodiment of that California Girl sweetness that everyone wants to take a bite of.
