I-70 open after semi-truck accident

VAIL, Colorado ” Interstate 70 is open in all directions after a semi-truck accident closed the eastbound lanes for much of Sunday morning, Vail Police officers said.
A semi-truck jumped a barrier over on I-70 at about 7 a.m. at the East Vail exit, closing the interstate eastbound from East Vail as far downvalley as Edwards.
Police closed downvalley exits until they could secure the trailer of the truck, which was unstable and partially blocking both directions of the interstate, Vail Police Officer Lee Dumarest said.
Vail Police Department and the Colorado State Patrol responded to the accident.
Dispatch officers said that the driver suffered injuries and is being transported to a Denver hospital, and no other vehicles were involved.
