I-70 public hearing set for October in Eagle

DENVER, Colorado – The Colorado Department of Transportation and Federal Highways Administration are holding public hearings on the future of the Interstate 70 corridor beginning next week.
The hearing in Eagle County will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Eagle County Fairgrounds, 0426 Fairgrounds Road, Exhibit Hall, Eagle.
Citizens are encouraged to attend and provide comments on the revised Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement. The document identifies improvements for Interstate 70 between C-470 and Glenwood Springs.
The hearing includes an open house and written comments from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., a presentation from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and verbal and written comments and open house from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Comments received during the hearings will be officially documented by a court reporter.
