I-70 west bound reopens in Vail

UPDATE: 9:39 p.m. Both lanes now open and traffic appears to be moving again.

UPDATE: 9:19 p.m. One lane of I-70 west bound has been opened but traffic remains backed up.

Both lanes of Interstate 70 are blocked at mile marker 176, but cars can use the Frontage Road to get around the blockage.

Mile marker 176 is near the Main Vail exit, about three miles from the next exit at mile marker 173 headed west bound. There are Frontage Roads on both sides of the interstate open to through traffic.
