If it’s art, wear it

Wren Wertin
Philinda Gallery in Edwards is hosting their second annual Wearable Art Show. Everything has been handmade by artisans, not simply assembled as crafts. From purses to jewelry to scarves to clothing, the inventory is diverse. Highlights include painter Allison Massari's silver-frame pendants with interchangeable canvasses, Pat Hagarty's blouses and the bold jewelry of Neshama, the husband-and-wife team of Asher and Avara Yaron. All proceeds will go to the Roger Pepper camp, which offers adventurous experiences to young burn survivors.

The show runs today and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Monday from noon until 3 p.m. For more information call the gallery at 926-9265.|Special to the Daily|
