Ike’s effects not felt in Colo
DENVER, Colorado ” Gasoline prices in Colorado are holding steady or have dipped slightly in the wake of Hurricane Ike.
Prices jumped in some parts of the country as the massive storm struck the Texas Coast, where 14 refineries were shut down.
Triple A spokeswoman Wave Dreher said Colorado’s statewide average price was $3.71 a gallon Saturday, down from $3.72 on Friday. The price was $3.65 a gallon in Denver, the same as Friday.
Dreher says the Rockies are expected to be among the areas least affected by Hurricane Ike. She says Suncor Energy is reporting that its refinery in the north-Denver area has adequate supplies.
