IMAX movie comes to the valley
Vail, CO Colorado
Proud American Productions will film the IMAX feature “Portrait of America: Freedom, Opportunity, Responsibility” on Vail Mountain and on the streets of Miller Ranch in Edwards this weekend.
The production company will shoot in an undisclosed location on Vail Mountain on Saturday, and on Sunday and Monday film crews will move to Wildcat Street between Flat Top Street and Tames Creek Street in Miller Ranch. On both days, filming will occur from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
In an e-mail to Miller Ranch homeowners, the Slifer Management Company warned that residents may encounter temporary detours, road closures and delays in areas near filming. Temporary “No Parking” signs may be placed adjacent to sections of the neighborhood on film.
According to the film’s Web site, the film: “will present a tapestry of America, a visual package that includes stunning aerial photography from New York to Alaska and on to Hawaii. We’ll visit its great cities, small towns and farmlands. See the grandeur of its national parks, natural wonders and memorials. Witness America’s industrial and technological might as you’ve never seen it on the screen, and visit its churches, mosques, catherdrals and synagogues.”
