Immigration forum tour comes to Colorado
NORTHGLENN, Colorado – Immigration reform is up for debate in Northglenn this weekend, as Colorado plays host to a national series of debates on the issue.
Democratic Rep. Jared Polis of Boulder and Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput are among the leaders talking at the forum on Saturday. The events aim to bring differing viewpoints together for town hall-style discussions on immigration.
A Jewish rabbi and a Muslim imam are also speaking at the Familias Unidas forum Saturday afternoon at a church in Northglenn.
A survey showed a good bit of support for local government action to bolster workforce housing in town. For now though, that support stops at supporting a new tax for funding.
