BEAVER CREEK — The Vilar Performing Arts Center presents the musical group Everyone Orchestra today at 7:30 p.m., featuring a revolving cast of stellar musicians brought together by drummer and conductor Matt Butler for concerts, festival super jams and special events.

These performances are designed to create space for each performer’s musical personality to shine, engage the audience as participants in the jam and facilitate a massive celebratory coming together, featuring a conductor directing musicians and audience alike in interactive, lively and highly danceable movements. The edge-of-your-seat enthusiasm for what is next is the fuel behind the continuous musical experiment of Everyone Orchestra.

“The experience of playing with different musicians, improvising every night and getting the crowd involved in ways that they can’t be at a regular show has provided an unparalleled live music experience,” Butler said.

A laundry list of hundreds of musicians, dancers, singers, guest conductors and community organizations has embraced the experience of Everyone Orchestra. Tuning in to his energy, the band and audience utilize “The Conductor” as their pivot to set the mood of each passing jam as he communicates with the musicians using hand signs, whiteboard and assorted mime suggestions.

The list of Everyone Orchestra participants is an increasingly wide and intercontinental group.
