Special to the DailyThe Wild West Show includes Denver-based actors Bryce and JC Jackman, old hands at whooping it up.

Piney River Ranch announces its on-going series, Wild West Show, every Wednesday through the season. The night includes ranch activities, a western dinner, an old west performance, line dancing and marshmallow roasting. Other pre-show options include canoeing, volleyball and horseshoes.

Chef de Maison caters the dinner, which begins at 7 p.m. Barbecued chicken, baby back ribs, roasted potatoes, grilled corn on the cob, baked beans, fresh coleslaw, mixes greens, fresh cornbread and rolls and warm brownies with vanilla ice cream make up the menu. Both kids and vegetarian meals can be made upon request.

Bryce and JC Jackman, Denver-based entertainers, join Piney River Ranch staff for the lawn show. There’s never a dull moment with the high antics, and is geared for people of every age. The show even includes audience participation. The very lucky – or unlucky, depending on your point of view – will even get to perform alongside the actors.

After the show, line dancing lessons are available for those interested. Smores will be available upon request. The event wraps up between 9-9:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by 1 p.m. the day of the show by calling 477-1171.

Piney River Ranch was purchased in June of 2002 by Dana and Linda Hansen. The ranch offers horseback riding, canoeing, archery, fishing and lodging. Lunch is served daily and dinners are available by reservation.
