EAGLE, Colorado – Eagle police are looking for a man who is a suspect in several burglaries in the Eagle area.

At about noon Thursday, a woman walked into her McIntire Street home and found items lying in the living room that were not left out before, police said. Believing someone was in her home, she grabbed a few items that did not appear to be hers and went outside to her car, where she kept her home in view and called police, Eagle authorities said.

Before officers arrived, the woman saw a man walking away from her home in the alley behind it. The man could not be found when Eagle Police and Eagle County sheriff’s deputies arrived.

The woman and another witness offered a similar description of the suspect, who is described as a 20- to 30-year-old white male with slicked-back dark hair, wearing dark-rimmed glasses and a dark waist-length coat. He is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 150-175 pounds. He was last seen walking in the alley off 5th Street by Grand Avenue in Eagle.

Police believe the suspect has been involved in several other burglaries and thefts in the Eagle area and possibly other parts of the valley.

Eagle authorities released several surveillance images of the man they believe is responsible for Thursday’s burglary.
