Jagger all around girl
Looking at Jessica Jagger’s calendar is staggering. The Eagle Valley High School senior is involved with just about everything at the school, and she still has time to smile and have some fun. She excels at soccer and softball, and has also played some basketball for the Devils. Soccer is her favorite, and mixed in with all of the sports is student council, link crew, National Honor Society and being on the prom committee.
Jagger was born in Denver and moved to the valley in the fifth grade. Her first friends were Julie Taylor, Trista Sandoval and Vanessa Carroll. Taylor and Jagger’s friendship blossomed into a great relationship. “Julie and I are very best friends,” says Jagger. The two share a lot of the same interests and are super-involved at Eagle Valley. If you run into Jagger in the halls of Eagle Valley, you’ll immediately be hit by her outgoing personality and big smile.
Jagger’s older brother, Craig, attends college at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and she’s learning from his freshman year mistakes. “My brother took way to many credit hours his first semester,” says Jagger. Jagger will be pursuing a degree in the medical field and will live in Corbett Hall.
Jagger knows how to have fun, too. She loves the river by her house in Gypsum, and loves to cliff jump. “I love the summers here,” she says. Jagger also has a younger brother, and says that by having two brothers and no sisters, she’s learned to hold her own and is probably more into sports than most girls.
Teacher Eric Mandeville has taught Jagger for three years at the high school. “Jessica is one of the hardest working students I’ve had in my six years here,” he says. “She’s a classroom leader and is a positive competitor.”
