Jammin' Jazz Kids, a new free interactive educational program of the Vail Jazz Festival took place this past Sunday, July 28th at the Vail Farmers' Market. It was a huge success and children were fully engaged in the hands-on opportunity to learn the fundamentals of jazz in the drum circle. The last of the three summer programs is on Sunday, August 18th with Joey Gulizia leading a lesson on Latin Percussion. During the free program, kids will learn the art of improvisation while playing a variety of percussion instruments â maracas, bongos, congas and tambourines
