This summer marks the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Vail Jazz Festival and promises to be full of surprises with a little nostalgia thrown in. The Vail Jazz Festival offers a special kind of festival experience in one of the most spectacular settings anywhere in the United States. Featuring the Jazz @ the Market series of 16 free outdoor concerts and the renowned Labor Day Weekend Party, the Vail Jazz Festival is famous for its unique spirit of fun and fellowship that unites musicians, singers and jazz lovers from all over the world. The Festival offers many extraordinary performances throughout the summer and of course, the Festival will again host the Vail Jazz Workshop the acclaimed jazz education program for gifted high school students.Jazz @ the Market June 27 through August 29 We are pleased to announce that due to popular demand the Jazz @ the Market has been expanded this year! We will continue our Sunday afternoon perfor-mances at the Vail Farmers Market but the series will also include concerts on Saturdays at the new Vail Art & Wine Faire. So, come shop, snack and listen to some great jazz this summer – its lots of fun and best of all the entertainment is free!

The Festival culminates with a unique assortment of world-class musicians in a one-of-a-kind format that lives up to its name, the “Labor Day Weekend Party.” Whether its group performances, multi-artist jam sessions or the inspiring Gospel Prayer Meetin, the weekend has a unique celebratory spirit that attracts jazz musicians and jazz lovers from around the world. Each year, emerging “young lions” play alongside living legends of jazz in an intimate setting surrounded by Vails natural beauty. With more than 24 hours of performances throughout the weekend (morning, noon and night), the audience and musicians are connected in a way that never fails to inspire.
