Jeffrey Clay at the Bowlmor in Eagle
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE, Colorado – One of Vail’s classic acts returns the Bowlmor Lounge, as Jeffrey Clay and an assortment of friends bring a collection of solid acoustic sounds to the Back Bowl’s ‘Jammin’ at the Bowlmor’ music series Saturday at 7:30 p.m. There is no cover charge.
Back when there was just a handful of musical acts plying their craft in the Valley, Clay was there, putting in his time on the apres ski circuit, playing for drinks and tips, just hoping the gig would last long enough to bridge until the next. Thirty-plus years later, he is still plying that now well-honed craft. His penchant for entertaining people, and for sharing his love for music with appreciative crowds, has taken on many incarnations, but the passion remains the same.
Clay was one of the founding members of the popular Emerson Biggins Band, which was the house-band for the Sundance Saloon. As he segued into the ’80s, he began playing all over the U.S. and Europe as a solo act, logging the miles that eventually led him back to Vail.
