VAIL, Colorado – The Jeremy Wendelin Quartet will perform from noon to 3:30 p.m. Sunday outside Annie’s at the Vail Farmers Market in Vail Village.

The quartet is comprised of Jeremy Wendelin (saxophone, flute, clarinet), Bill Morse (piano), Colin Gieg (bass) and Scott Mattson (drums). The group plays both classic and contemporary jazz.

“Our material ranges from classics like Brubeck’s “Blue Rondo” to new tunes like Metheny’s “Last Train Home,” and original compositions and arrangements,” Wendelin said. “We love to swing, groove, and have a good time, but what sets us apart is the variety of rhythms, textures, colors – and the way we use them to capture an audience.”

The Sunday concert is the eighth in a series of 10 performances at the Vail Farmers Market. Next week, local favorite the Tony Gulizia Trio will close out the market series.

Wrapping up a summer of jazz, the Vail Jazz Festival presents the 15th annual Labor Day Weekend Jazz Party from Sept. 3-7 at the Vail Marriott and in Vail Square in Lionshead. Visit for more information.
