O.K., all. There has been a real problem with people sending in questions. The problem is, NO ONE IS SENDING ANY!!!! If you read this column, please help support it by sending in your thoughts, questions, ideas. SOMETHING! So, since I have not received a question for this week, I would like to share something that I think really makes a difference. It is an Old Cherokee Teaching …

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. ‘A terrible fight is going on inside me,’ he said to the boy. ‘It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. This is the same fight that is going on inside you, and inside every other person, too. The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, ‘which wolf will win?’ The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one you feed.’

How often do we choose the negative over the positive? This is a powerful message that we can all apply to our lives and start to dwell in what is possible as opposed to the negative thoughts that tend to consume us …

“The only devils in the world are those running in our hearts; that is where the battle should be fought.”

– Gandhi
