Jody Olson Monroe, 1932- 2008
Former Eagle Valley resident Jody Olson Monroe died Aug. 10 in Phoenix.
She was born July 11, 1932, to Leonard and Marie Horn. Jody was raised on the VII Ranches in Eagle. She graduated from Eagle Valley High School and attended Mesa College in Grand Junction where she met her husband, Bill Monroe. They raised their family in Denver.
She worked in the fashion industry as a model and interior designer for over 30 years.
In 1968, Bill and Jody moved to Seattle, Wash. She was living in Phoenix at the time of her death.
Funeral services will be held in Monroe, Wash., on Sept. 20, and interment will be at the Monroe cemetery.
Jody is survived by her children, Craig Monroe, of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Linda Carroll, of Woodinville, Wash.; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Derek and Alex.
