Joe Montana coming to Vail event
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado – John and Jamie Stone, the founders of DiscoverWell, the nonprofit entity that produces the Vail Living Well Summit, along with the Sonnenalp Hotel, have announced that former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana will be the keynote speaker at the 2013 Vail Living Well Summit.
The announcement of Montana’s role adds to the lineup of researchers, experts and “thought leaders” in the realm of health and well-being scheduled to present at the three day summit, Sept. 19-21.
“The Vail Living Well Summit already features 23 outstanding presenters that are sure to inspire and educate attendees to further their personal journey in health and well-being, as well as bring back what they learn to their families, workplace and communities,” said Jamie Stone, president of DiscoverWell. “Joe is a sports icon whose professional and personal life reflects countless aspects of health and well-being. The interactive interview format, with questions from the audience and our (master of ceremonies), will offer great insight into performing at a high level of achievement, dealing with its stresses, and continuing to deliver results while maintaining personal integrity and balance.”
Montana was selected late in the third round of the 1979 NFL draft by San Francisco 49ers coach Bill Walsh. He went on to lead the team to victories in four Super Bowls during the 1980s, including consecutive wins in 1989 and 1990. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
The Vail Living Well Summit brings together top-level doctors, researchers, athletes and health-conscious individuals and influencers to connect, learn, share and have fun in the beauty of Vail. Topics include fitness, nutrition, cognitive and emotional well-being, heart health, preventive medicine, longevity and stress, sleep health and breakthroughs in health and well-being.
