John Legend coming to Beaver Creek

John Legend will perform at the Vilar Center on April 7.

BEAVER CREEK — One of the industry’s most innovative artists, nine-time Grammy Award winner John Legend has just been announced to perform at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek on April 7 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for John Legend’s “The All of Me Tour: Intimate, Acoustic and Stripped Down” go on sale Feb. 4 at 11 a.m.

Legend won his first Grammy Award with 2004’s “Get Lifted.” The album went platinum, thanks in part to the hit single “Ordinary People.”

Now Legend, one of the industry’s most innovative artists, returns after five years with his much-anticipated fourth solo album, “Love in the Future.” Taking R&B and soul to the next level, Legend creates an immersive experience about romance, love, hope, commitment and optimism. Enhancing the experience is a rich, melodic soundscape — accented by compelling interludes — that fully integrates the musician’s gospel and pop influences, classical training and unerring hip-hop and soul sensibilities.

“John Legend is a great addition for us,” said Kris Sabel, executive director for the Vilar Performing Arts Center. “We work to maintain great variety in what we present at our venue, while still upholding our commitment to bringing world-class entertainment to this community. John Legend is an incredibly accomplished and talented singer-songwriter, musician and producer. We feel honored to have him in our hall and cannot wait for April 7.”

Tickets are $98/$135 and can be purchased online at vilarpac.org or by calling the VPAC Box Office at 970-845-8497.
