Jose Rodriguez Poker Run was great
Vail, CO, Colorado
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the overwhelming response to the 2009 second annual Jose Rodriguez Poker Run held on June 13.
A special thank you goes to both local newspapers for the advertising, great articles, great photographs and all-around great coverage before, during and after the event.
Another special thank you goes out to our five stops that participated this year. The Gashouse in Edwards accommodated our registration with a great breakfast. The Pastime in Leadville was a good time, as was the Moosejaw in Frisco. The Saloon in Minturn received raves from many of the riders as the “fun” stop and last but not least a great time was had by all at Finnegans in Avon.
Thanks to the “Rock Dogs” for your last-minute filling in for our after-party band. You guys rock! Congratulations to the winners of the “mystery” poker hands and the raffle winners got some great prizes from local merchants. Thank you goes out to all the great merchants who donated items from Vail to Gypsum. The poker run could not have been possible without all the great volunteers. You all did such a great job that I will be calling upon each and every one of you for next year. I believe the volunteers had as much fun as the riders who participated.
We will more than likely have a new route again for next year to keep the concept fresh and see some new places and hopefully more new faces.
Special thanks to the following: Bev, Pam and Denny, Dudley and C.J., Dick, Bob, Karl and Cheryl, Don, Jonathan and Michelle, Chris and Misty, Jennifer, Scott, Doug, Malissa, Randy, Pia, J.P., Debbie and Dale, Dave, Lori, Gallegos Corporation, Copy Copy, Copy Plus, Coors, Sign on Design and Jose for the beautiful day. We hope to see all of you next year and the years to come. Let’s ride.
The Rodriguez family
