The Vail Valley Art Guild welcomes renowned photographer Russ Burden for a special presentation on How to Judge Your Own Images on Thursday, Aug. 10, at Colorado Mountain College in Edwards at 7 p.m.
Burden’s critiquing and judging skills are widely recognized within the photographic community, and he also writes the Photo Tip of the Week for the prestigious Outdoor Photographer website.
‘The Best of Nature’
His nature photographs have been published in National Geographic Traveler, Kodak and other publications in addition to appearing in the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.
Several books also feature the photographer exclusively and his work is featured in “The Best of Nature,” a book highlighting the world’s foremost nature photographers.
Additionally, Burden’s safari images have won several prestigious awards, and he is a multiple time winner of the coveted Nature’s Best Windland Smith Rice Award.
