Keep ’em coming
As a faithful reader of the Vail Trail, I have enjoyed Barry Smith’s columns for quite a while now (see Barry Smith’s work at vailtrail.com).Every week I am guaranteed at least a light chuckle, and usually an out-loud guffaw, thanks to Barry. Just wanted to let the VT know that Barry is revered in our little town of Vail (well, revered might be too strong a word, and I probably shouldn’t speak for the whole town, but at least one person thinks it’s funny). Keep ’em coming!Kim RuotoloVailA holiday thanksTom, thank you once again for the heartwarming articles that you wrote about the local Peace Corps Volunteers both last Christmas and this Christmas (see “Peace Corps on Earth” and “Getting to the Corps of it,” at vailtrail.com)The holidays are a time for family, friends, and thinking of others and you definitely captured how our young adults are doing this every day as they serve in a foreign country.Aristotle said “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” How true!Patty FrankeVail
