Keeping the festival flowing

VAIL – In the midst of a rainy week, the Bravo! Guild held a reception for members after a soggy but spectacular performance by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at the Ford Amphitheater. The guild has been supporting the festival since its inception in 1987. With around 200 members, these volunteers keep the festival’s concerts running smoothly by donating more than 2000 volunteer hours in a summer. Bravo! Guild volunteers work as ushers and sell merchandise at every concert, and help in the organization’s office. Money raised through the sales goes toward educational programs and outreach sponsored by the Bravo! music festival.”It’s fabulous to be a part of the festival that greatly enhances the quality of life in the Vail Valley during the summer,” said Liz Keay, president of the guild. “As a guild member, when you volunteer you have the opportunity to hear great musicians and orchestras free of charge.”If you would like to know more about membership in the Bravo! Guild, contact Liz Keay at 949-0577 or Evie Rosen-Budd at 926-4919. ==========================================On the social radarThe Literacy Project is hosting its annual Fashion Show and Luncheon on Aug. 14 at Red Sky Ranch.
