VAIL —Kevin Heinz & Friends return to Vail’s Friday Afternoon Club at Eagle’s Nest Friday beginning at 4 p.m. The local singer-songwriter along with fellow friends and musicians will provide the live entertainment for the evening at Heinz’s second FAC appearance of the summer.

Festivities begin at 4 p.m. every Friday throughout the summer on Talon’s Deck Grill. Guests and locals alike can kick off the weekend with free live music and activities, food and drink specials, and more. Guests can also enter for a chance to win Shock Top’s free giveaway, a Yeti mountain bike. Register each week at FAC for the drawing on Aug. 23.

All performances are free and the Eagle Bahn Gondola is free to 2013-14 pass holders. Twilight gondola tickets can be purchased after 4 p.m. and include a $10 credit voucher valid for the purchase of on-mountain food and beverage at Talon’s Deck Grill and Bistro Fourteen, or Adventure Ridge activities. Or, grab a complimentary shuttle to Game Creek and use the voucher toward sunset appetizers and drinks on Game Creek Restaurant’s deck overlooking the Vail Valley. The last ride up the Eagle Bahn Gondola during evening operations is at 9 p.m. The 2013 summer FAC band lineup includes Wolf & Friends (featuring Rob Eaton Jr. from My Brother’s Keeper and Alex Scott from Frogs Gone Fishin’) on Aug. 9; Boneless on Aug. 16; Bluzilla on Aug. 23; and the Bob Masters Trio on Aug. 30.
