KEYSTONE, Colorado ” Gourmet meals in the backcountry?
They’re a part of the expanded snowcat tours in Keystone’s backcountry bowls. The resort has opened the “Independence Yurt,” where those on guided tours of the backcountry can eat as if they were in a downtown restaurant.
About 300 acres of challenging terrain are open to skiers and snowboarders on guided tours.
For $199, there’s the buffet lunch and a full-day of guided backcountry skiing and snowboarding in Keystone’s three bowls with expert guides. You also get powder skis, an avalanche beacon and tips on skiing the backcountry.
