Kids can celebrate MLK at Vail library
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, COlorado – In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the town of Vail Public Library will host Brent Warren, performing as the character, Doc Murdock, a comedian, ventriloquist and magician for children ages 3 and up. The performance is from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will begin, as do all library events for children, with a story, and will end with the show ‘Murdock’s Magical Delights.’
“After we heard what other libraries around the state said about Mr. Warren’s performance as Doc Murdock, we contacted him to do a show for us here in Vail,” says said Lori Ann Barnes, town librarian. “We chose a day when children are out of school, at a later time of day, when parking is free and they can come with their families.”
Warren considers himself a prestidigitator, which means someone who practices slight of hand.
“Over the years it has been a joy to take laughter and magic to the young and old around the globe. I’ve performed from back villages of Mongolia, China, Japan, to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, as well as a town or two in the USA,” Warren says.
Parents are welcome. Children under six must be accompanied by an adult. Event is free. For more information, call 970-479-2179.
