VAIL, Colorado – Kids can make gifts for family members and friends from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, at the Vail library. The library will provide the materials and instructions for children to create a holiday gift.

This day comes on the heels of the Thanksgiving holiday while public schools are out of session. This event is offered at a late enough time in the afternoon to make it possible for school children who are not on the Eagle County School District schedule to attend, as well.

“We are happy to invite families into the library where we will encourage the children to think of someone they care about and to make a gift for that person,” says Lori Barnes, town librarian. It is a way to help children celebrate this holiday season with a generous mindset.”

Numbers are limited; pre-registration is required. Parents are welcome and the event is free. For more information or to register, call 970-479-2179.
