KTUN ‘The Eagle’ changes format

After a decade of specializing in classic rock, KTUN, “The Eagle,” is expanding its CD library to make room for the ’80s, ’90s and new artists. One can hear rock from Nirvana to Pearl Jam and the Beatles to the Rolling Stones.Classic rock will still be the focus for The Eagle as it has been the station’s foundation for the past 10 years. The new mix, however, will include alternative, hair, grunge, blues, reggae, southern, psychedelic, arena rock and mountain rock, and as always, the killer classics. Rock obviously has a past, and we can’t ignore the present or the future. So we are responding by throwing the music gates wide open with a station that now reflects our evolving, diverse audiences’ needs. “We don’t care if it’s Elvis Presley or Elvis Costello, as long as it’s ‘Anything that rocks,’ it’s all good,” said station formatters. “When you hear Stevie Wonder, AC/DC, Kenny Loggins and Marilyn Manson in the same quarter-hour sweep – you know you have it on the Eagle.” KTUN can be heard on 95.3 FM, 97.5 FM and 101.7 FM.Vail, Colorado
