Labor chief speaks to Hispanic officials in Denver
DENVER, Colorado – Labor Secretary Hilda Solis will speak at an energy town hall meeting in Denver with Hispanic political leaders from around the country.
The meeting Friday will address how the local economies will be affected by energy policies lawmakers implement in the future.
Solis is in town for the annual conference of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials.
NALEO represents more than 6,000 Hispanic political leaders.
The nonpartisan group’s goal is to increase Hispanic political participation in the U.S.
