Land trusts gets $2,750 from gala
VAIL – The Eagle Valley Land Trust, a land conservation group, has received a check for $2,750 from the Vail Valley Chamber & Tourism Bureau. The funds were raised at this year’s Roaring ’20s Gala. The Eagle Valley Land Trust was selected by the Chamber & Tourism bureau as nonprofit organization of the year for 2004.The Land Trust was among 13 nonprofits nominated for the award. It was selected for community impact in 2004. Last year, the Land Trust successfully preserved the 4,830-acre Bair Ranch as open space in Eagle County. In less than nine months, the organization raised over $1.3 million for this effort. Vail, Colorado
