Landing pad contest Sunday at Vail

VAIL, Colorado – Ski and Snowboard Club of Vail will open its “landing pad” to the public for a contest on Sunday.

Following the success of the last Progression Session big air contest, the landing pad on Golden Peak will host a best trick contest. The landing pad allows skiers and snowboarders to try new tricks with reduced risk of injury. This Sunday will be the second time this season that it is open to the public for a contest.

Participants will be able to register at Ski and Snowboard Club Vail from 10 a.m. to noon. Practice will be from noon to 1 p.m. on the landing pad and the contest will run from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The top five skiers and the top five snowboarders will advance to finals. The winner in each category will be the rider with the best trick.
