Landis still intends to race in Leadville 100
VAIL If Floyd Landis didnt feel fit enough to enjoy his high-altitude fat-tire racing experience on Saturday, hell get a chance to redeem himself soon. Landis confirmed after the Teva Games mountain bike championship that he still intends to race in the Leadville 100 in August and he promises to be more prepared than he was on Saturday.Ill be a little better than I was here, I hope, the 2006 Tour de France champion said.Landis said that before Saturdays 21-mile cross country race on Vail Mountain, he hadnt ridden a mountain bike since October.Hopefully between now and then I can train a little, he said.Landis said he has no races scheduled either before or after the Leadville 100-miler, which takes place Aug. 11.
