BEAVER CREEK, Colorado ” The Vilar Performing Arts Center has added comedian Josh Blue to their winter lineup. He sold out the Vilar Center last winter and will return for an encore performance March 22. Blue won NBC’s hit show “Last Comic Standing” in 2006 and has been since touring since, bringing his unique stand-up act to fans around the country and the world.

Blue also is a U.S. Paralympic soccer player. Though he has cerebral palsy, he refuses to bow to any of the challenges that come from living with disease. Using his sense of humor and likability, he defies stereotypes and encourages others to overcome their preconceived notions about “disabled” people.

“I realize that people are going to stare, so I want to give them something to stare at!” he said.

From comedy clubs and theater engagements to college campuses and corporate events, wherever he takes the stage, Blue elicits an overwhelming crowd response. His uncanny ability to improvise with any audience, coupled with comedic timing, have enabled him to develop a loyal fan base across the country.

Describing his comedy as “spastic and engaging,” Blue wanted to be on “Last Comic Standing” to make people aware of the fact that people with disabilities can make an impact.

Tickets for Blue are $38, and are available by calling 845-8497 or by visiting http://www.vilarpac.org.
