Latino man reports ethnic intimidation in Gypusm

GYPSUM, Colorado “-A man faces charges for allegedly hurling racial slurs at a Gypsum resident and making threats with a chain, an Eagle County Sheriff’s Office report said.
Police arrested the 20-year-old man on charges of menacing with an aggressive weapon, ethnic intimidation and harassment, police said.
On May 20 around 7:30 p.m., a Latino Gypsum resident was pulling into his driveway after work when the offender, who is white, allegedly confronted him, the report said.
The offender allegedly used a racial slur when he told the victim to turn down his music, the report said. He then pulled out a large linked chain with a lock on the end of it and threatened the victim with another racial slur.
