‘Laugh Your Aspen Off’ in Rifle
RIFLE – Taking aim at Rifle is a theme audiences can expect Saturday as the popular standup comedy troupe Laugh Your Aspen Off plays the Winchester Nite-Club.In addition to humorous local professional comics, LYAO welcomes to Rifle two touring headliners, both hailing from Colorado. Closing the back-to-back shows will be Aspen’s Dan “Gonzo” Machanik, who has been touring in Asia and is ready to bring his tour de force observations about East, West and probably Meeker to the Winchester stage. Preceding Gonzo for both shows is Front Range favorite Ted Larson, a blue-collar charmer with a conscience, whose social observations are sharper than steak knives.
Laugh Your Aspen Off regulars Don Chaney, Mark Thomas, Arthur Piubeni, Michael Yoder, Kevin Jordan, Tyson Young, Steve Skinner, Bill Seguin, Bob Richmond, Gerald DeLisser, Todd Hartley, Post Independent columnist April Clark, and Clifford Fewel round out the list of local comics perform.”‘Laugh Your Aspen Off is stoked to be making our first Grand Valley appearance,” said Fewel, the troupe’s founder and producer, in a press statement. “Paul and Gary Malchow have built the Winchester Nite-Club into one of the best performance venues on the Western Slope.
