Learning expert to speak at Berry Creek Middle
A learning expert will present “The Challenges of Visual Spatial Learners” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Berry Creek Middle School.
Linda Silverman, Ph.D., has developed materials and instructional strategies for this group of different learners – children and adults alike. She has written over 300 articles and lectured throughout the world on gifted education and the “visual-spatial” learning style.
She is the director of the Institute for the Study of Advanced Development and the Gifted Development Center in Denver. She earned her doctorate in special education and educational psychology from the University of Southern California.
Her new book, “Upside-Down Brilliance: The Visual-Spatial Learner,” offers an in-depth discussion of the subject. Silverman will be available to sign copies of her book following the presentation and discussion.
