Let Colorado children sing
Young and aspiring singers will get their chance to shine at the Vail residency of the Colorado Children’s chorale, which begins with a three-day workshop and concludes with a free concert at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheatre.Local boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 11 are invited to participate and hone their singing, dancing, acting and stage movement skills over the workshop. The Chorale’s artistic staff will help children build their teamwork skills and gain self confidence through the art of public performance in an exciting, energy-charged setting. Workshops run on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. -4:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 4 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The free public concert at the Ford amphitheater, which will feature local children performing with the Colorado Children’s Chorale, begins at 4 p.m. Saturday.The Colorado Children’s Chorale has performed fully-staged operas, musical theater pieces, and classical, folk and pop songs around the world for more than three decades. The Chorale seeks to imbue children with the gift of musical performance and art through its innovative stage presentations and unique theatrical spirit. The workshops are free, but space is limited.
