BEAVER CREEK -The Canadian-based Royal Winnipeg Ballet brings a production of romance, enchantment, fantasy and a journey from darkness into light to the Vilar Center stage on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
“The Magic Flute” is an adaptation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s final opera, written in 1791 shortly before he died. It reflects his favorite trilogy of themes – chaos, quest and resolution. Dashing heroes, dastardly villains, damsels in distress, captivating comic sidekicks and a flute with magical powers abound in this opulent production designed by Paul Daigle.
