Letter: A real Colorado film coming to Vail

Troy McGatlin
Seal Beach, Calif.

My name is Troy McGatlin. I grew up in Colorado and went to film school at the University of Colorado. For the past 14 years I’ve been working in Hollywood on all types of major Hollywood films including “Almost Famous,” “Spiderman 2,” “Memoirs of a Geisha,” etc.

Anyway, in 2006 I came back to Colorado to shoot a small independent film titled “Broken Fences.” The film was finished in December 2007. Since then we’ve been accepted into all types of film festivals including Arizona Int’l, Memphis Int’l, Big Island Film Fest, and the Vail Film Festival. We are the only feature shot in Colorado with a Colorado cast and crew to be in the festival in Vail. The film will play April 5 at 9:30 p.m. up in Vail.
